Mind Over Madness Yoga

Instructor and Speaker Bios

7:30am Class – Douglass Stewart (Ishta Yoga, YogaWorks)

I’m Douglass Stewart, one of the founders of Summer Solstice/ Yoga in Times Square. I’m amazed to see how the event has developed over the years with the wonderful skills of Tim Tompkins and his staff at Times Square Alliance and with your joyful participation.

I’ve been teaching yoga for over 10 years, currently teaching at Yoga Works.  I’m one of the senior teachers at the ISHTA Yoga Center where I’m part of the Teacher Training program. I’m inspired by the current events of our time, bringing to light the power of yoga in this day and age. Let the peace that you experience at this Summer Solstice/Yoga in Times Square be the inspiration for peace in every circumstance of your life.  Namaste.
