Two-time Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group Arrested Development is one of hip-hop's true trailblazers. Since 1991, the band has championed fresh sounds, spreading unique hip-hop around the world and representing culture with beats and pride. In the early '90s, Arrested Development brought much-needed attention to the plight of the homeless with its hit song "Mr. Wendal," and it celebrated cultural diversity with the dance smash "People Everyday." Both singles came from the group's debut album, 3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days in the Life Of... (1992), which sold Platinum in both the U.S. and the U.K.

When asked recently about the state of hip-hop during the last 15 years, Arrested Development frontman Speech commented: "There is little to no balance; the flood of rappers turned corporate moguls is a reflection of how the genre is losing its creative spirit, but we want to play our part in bringing a balance back! It's time for more substance." In the last several few years, Arrested Development has taking major strides to restore some of this much-needed substance to the game. Chief among them is the 2010 of the band's latest album Strong, whose outstanding tracks like "Greener" and "Bloody" sent the message loud and clear that Arrested Development is still thirsty.

In addition, this year Arrested Development returns with a powerful mixtape called Standing at the Crossroads. The album is a motivational anthem for hip-hop heads, spiritual people, and social activists around the world. The group's goal with this new music is to help inspire hip-hop to become more balanced in its musicality and subject matter, while having fun! This mission is already a success - the video for the record's lead-off single, "Living," won a coveted L.A. Movie Award earlier this year. The mixtape dropped August 6th. Of course, although Arrested Development is spending 2012 moving forward, the band isn't about to forget its past. Join this seminal hip-hop crew as it celebrates its 20th anniversary with a tour that will feature the band performing its 1992 debut album in its entirety, as well as cuts from its new mixtape and more.
