Where do I go when I arrive?
The one check-in location will be 43rd St. & Broadway (approach from 6th Avenue). If you successfully registered for a class, you should receive a confirmation email that specifies this lcocation a few days before the event.
Do I need to register for the event or can I just show up?
Please register for the event here while availability lasts.
We are accepting walkups. However, we cannot guarantee you’ll get in, nor can we guarantee we’ll be able to provide a yoga mat. Walk-ups will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis if there is still room after accepting all pre-registered participants.
Is my registration transferable?
No, registration is not transferable.
Can I bring a guest under my registration?
No, each person much register themselves.
What time are the classes for Solstice 2016?
5:00am - 6:00am
7:00am - 8:00am

Can I take more than one class?
You can only register for one class. If you register for more than one class, you risk your entire registration being deleted.
What does the class/event cost?
All classes are free!
How do I get there?
Please click here for details on how to get to Times Square. The check-in location provided above is located within the center of Times Square's Bowtie, easily accessible by all subways that stop in the neighborhood and a variety of other transit options listed at the link above.
Where do I check in?
Check-in information will be emailed to you a few days prior to the event, but there will be one check-in location at 43rd St. & Broadway (approach from 6th Avenue). If you successfully registered for a class, you should receive a confirmation email that specifies this lcocation a few days before the event. Please contact us via email at Events@TimesSquareNYC.org if you have not received that check-in assignment after Saturday, June 18.
When should I arrive?
We suggest you arrive to check-in an hour before your class. This gives you time to get your freebies, find your spot and relax before your class.
When do you start letting people in for the class?
We will begin to have yogis enter approximately 45 minutes before class.
Do I need to bring a yoga mat?
Gaiam and Times Square Alliance will provide a free yoga mat to registered attendees.
Do I need to bring my own water?
Smartwater bottles and water fountains will be provided. You may bring additional water of your own.
Are there places to change on site?
No, you should arrive dressed for class.
Are there lockers?
No, there are no lockers onsite. Due to space limitations, we request that you come with only one purse/bag that can be placed next to your mat during the class.
Are there public restrooms?
There are no public bathrooms provided.
Yes, the Times Square Alliance will stream the event live on our Facebook page so that yogis across the country and the world can join the classes. For those in Times Square, the event will also be broadcast on the Toshiba Vision Screens atop One Times Square.
No, there's no need to register. Watch from the comfort of your own home or wherever you happen to be in the world!
Are there activities other than the yoga classes?
Be sure to check out our yoga village after your class.
Where and what is the Yoga Village?
The yoga village will be located on Broadway between 44th and 45th streets. Sponsors will have various tents set up with information, free samples and coupons.

Can I bring my pet?
Sorry, no furry friends, reptiles or other non-human companions are allowed into the event.
Exception is granted for service dogs.
Is smoking permitted at the event?
No, this event is held on the Broadway Plazas, which are smoke free year-round.
How can I ensure that my friend and I can sit together?
Please register at the same time and then arrive together at least 30 minutes ahead of time at your designated check-in point. Unfortunately, you will not be able to “save” a spot for a guest that is arriving later.

Solstice in Times Square: Mind Over Madness Yoga is produced by the Times Square Alliance, a non-profit organization that works to improve and promote Times Square so that it retains the creativity, energy and edge that have made it an international icon for over 100 years. As this is a free event, we rely on support from our fantastic partners: Gaiam, Lorissa’s Kitchen, Dunkin’ Donuts, Emergen-C Chewables, Ideology, Luna, National Mango Board, SkinnyPop Popcorn, Wasa, Yoga Journal, and Toshiba.
Are children allowed to participate in this event?
Yes, but children under 18 must have a signed a release on their behalf before they can enter the site. Releases will be available at check-in. They must be at least 10 years old to enter the event site and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
