Where do I go when I arrive?
You should proceed to the check-in location you are assigned in an email to be sent by the Times Square Alliance a few days before the event. The two check-in points will be W. 43rd St. & Broadway (approach from 6th Avenue) and W. 46th St. & Broadway (approach from 8th Avenue).
Do I need to register for the event or can I just show up?
Yes, you must register for the event here while availability lasts.
Is my registration transferrable?
No, registration is not transferable.
Can I bring a guest under my registration?
No, each person much register themselves.
What time are the classes for Solstice 2015?
7:00am - 8:00am
9:00am - 10:00am
11:15am - 12:30pm
2:00pm - 3:30pm
4:30pm - 5:30pm
6:30pm - 7:30pm
Can I take more than one class?
You can only register for one class. If you register for more than one class, you risk your entire registration being deleted.
What does the class/event costs?
All classes are free!
How do I get there?
Please click here for details on how to get to Times Square. The check-in locations provided above are located within the center of Times Square's Bowtie, easily accessible by all subways that stop in the neighborhood and a variety of other transit options listed at the link above.
Where do I check-in?
Check-in information will be emailed to you a few days prior to the event, but there will be two check-in locations, located at W. 43rd St. & Broadway (approach from 6th Avenue) and W. 46th St. & Broadway (approach from 8th Avenue). More specific instructions and your check-in location assignment will be included in an email from the Times Square Alliance a few days prior to the event. Please contact us via email at Events@TimesSquareNYC.org if you have not received that check-in assignment after Thursday, June 18.
When should I arrive?
We suggest you arrive to check-in an hour before your class. This gives you time to get your freebies, find your spot and relax before your class.
When do you start letting people in for the class?
We will begin to have yogis enter approximately 45 minutes before class.
Do I need to bring a yoga mat?
Athleta will provide a free yoga mat to registered attendees.
Do I need to bring my own water?
Water fountains will be provided. You may bring additional water of your own.
Are there places to change on site?
No, you should arrive dressed for class.
Are there lockers?
No, there are no lockers onsite. Due to space limitations, we request that you come with only one purse/bag that can be placed next to your mat during the class.
Are there public restrooms?
Yes - for the first time in event history, we are proud to announce that Cottonelle will be providing a bathroom trailer at the event, located at 44th St. between 6th Ave. & Broadway.
Yes, the Times Square Alliance will stream the event live on our website at www.TimesSquareNYC.org courtesy of MINDBODY ConnectTM so that yogis across the country and the world can join the class. For those in Times Square, the event will also be broadcast on the Toshiba Vision Screens atop One Times Square.
No, there's no need to register. Watch from the comfort of your own home or wherever you happen to be in the world!
Are there activities other than the yoga classes?
Be sure to check out our yoga village after your class.
Where and what is the yoga village?
The yoga village will be located on Broadway between 44th and 45th streets. Sponsors will have various tents set-up with information, free samples and coupons.

Can I bring my pet?
Sorry, no furry friends, reptiles or other non-human companions are allowed into the event.
Exception is granted for service dogs.
Is smoking permitted at the event?
No, this event is held on the Broadway Plazas, which are smoke free year-round.
How can I ensure that my friend and I are can sit together?
Please register at the same time and then arrive together at least 30 minutes ahead of time at your designated check-in point. Unfortunately, you will not be able to “save” a spot for a guest that is arriving later.

Solstice in Times Square: Athleta Mind Over Madness Yoga is produced by the Times Square Alliance, a non-profit organization that works to improve and promote Times Square so that it retains the creativity, energy and edge that have made it an international icon for over 100 years. As this is a free event, we rely on support from our fantastic partners: Athleta, Yoga Journal, MINDBODY ConnectTM, Cottonelle, Core Power, Lightlife Foods, Toshiba, Body Worlds, & Ruby Bay Jerky.
Are children allowed to participate in this event?
Yes, but children under 18 must have a signed a release on their behalf before they can enter the site. Releases will be available at check-in. They must be at least 10 years old to enter the event site and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
