On Saturday, June 21, 2014, thousands of yogis filled two Broadway plazas to seek inner peace in the heart of Times Square at Athleta Mind Over Madness Yoga. The day-long event featured classes taught by leading yoga instructors from across New York. On Sunday, June 22, MINDBODY Connect presented the MINDBODY Sol Conference at the Marriott Marquis, which offered a full schedule of master classes covering yoga, meditation, and other ways to stay centered amidst the frenzy of the city.

The Times Square Alliance was pleased to support three of our favorite yoga charities over the course of the weekend, Bent on Learning, Exhale to Inhale and Urban Zen. Attendees have now helped to raise over $20,000 for the efforts of both organizations to make yoga’s transcendent power more accessible.

The Times Square Alliance and Athleta streamed Saturday’s event (powered by Livestream) on their websites so that yogis from across the world could salute the sun with those in Times Square. Participants and visitors to Times Square were also able to watch classes on the Toshiba Vision Screens atop One Times Square.

Thank you to all who participated. We hope you join us next year in the search for inner peace in Times Square.
