Dick Clark’s Wife, Kari, to be Presented with Commemorative, Engraved

Waterford Crystal Triangle at Crystal Installation

(Times Square, N.Y.) -- In this annual event, held at One Times Square (42nd Street and Broadway) on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., Landmark Signs will install 288 sparkling new Waterford Crystal triangles featuring this year’s “Let There Be Peace” design on the Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball. In a touching tribute to longtime New Year’s Eve host Dick Clark, his wife, Kari Clark, will be on hand to receive a specially engraved “Dick Clark” Waterford Crystal triangle, which then will be installed on the Ball for this year’s celebration.

The crystals, designed and crafted by Waterford artisans, feature a pattern that showcases a dove surrounded by a burst of sunlight. The triangles, each about 3/8” thick, 4.75” to 5.75” in length, and 6.8 ounces in weight, are custom-designed and built to exacting standards to withstand the stresses of high winds, precipitation and temperature fluctuation that exist 470 feet above Times Square.

The Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment are the co-producers of Times Square New Year’s Eve. For more information, please visit www.timessquarenyc.org.
