NEW YEAR’S EVE MEDIA INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN PRESS
Covering New Year’s Eve as a foreign journalist has never been easier! The Times Square Alliance will be working in partnership with the Foreign Press Center to facilitate foreign press coverage of New Years Eve 2008. If you are interested in covering the New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square, the Times Square Alliance is now taking requests from the foreign media for spaces near the media riser in Duffy Square. The media locations will be in the same block as the main stage for Times Square New Year’s Eve. In addition to standard NYPD credentials, you will also require a special credential for access to this area.
The links below will direct you to the appropriate contacts for obtaining credentials:
- I-Visa Holders Resident foreign journalists must possess the State Department Foreign Press Center credential. If you are unsure of your status, email Sal Scrimenti at
ScrimentiS@state.gov. If you are NOT registered with the Foreign Press Center, click here to find out how to register.
