Theatre: Getting Broadway Tickets
In person: Visit the Broadway Ticket Center at the Times Square Information Center on 7th Avenue (between 46th and 47th Streets), or visit the theater box offices for same-day or advance ticket sales.
By phone: For most shows, you can get information and tickets by calling Tele-charge (212-239-6200 or 800-432-7250) or Ticketmaster (212-307-4100 or 800-755-4000). Service charges may be added to the price of your tickets.
Online: You can purchase tickets to most Broadway shows online at www.telecharge.com, www.ticketmaster.com, www.playbill.com or www.theatermania.com. Service charges may be added to the price of your tickets.

You can go to www.tdf.org to get information on the TKTS booths, which offer same-day discounted tickets to dozens of Broadway and Off Broadway shows.

The TKTS booth offers discounted tickets to same-day performances for Broadway, Off-Broadway, dance and music events. Tickets are discounted at either 50%, 35% or 25% off the full price (plus a $3.00 service charge); payment is by cash or traveler's check only. Availability can change hourly, as cooperating theaters supply tickets. Hours: Monday-Saturday 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday & Saturday matinees 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to closing.
Don't want to wait on line? TKTS also has a second booth located at South Street Seaport (at the corner of Front and John Streets), open Monday through Friday, 11am - 6pm, and Saturday from 11am - 7pm. In addition to shorter lines, this location offers day-of-performance tickets as well as a limited number of matinee tickets sold one day prior to performance date. TKTS accepts only cash or travelers checks.

This free service distributes coupons that can be redeemed at the box office for discounts on regular ticket prices. You can get the coupons through the mail or pick them up at the Hit Show Club's office.

Discount vouchers for individual ticket purchases for 30% - 50% off the regular box office price for Broadway and off-Broadway shows are available for librarians, teachers, students and school personnel and their families through the School Theatre Ticket Program. If you have a eligible group, please visit www.schooltix.com, call 212-354-4722 or visit 1560 Broadway (on West 46th Street between 7th & 6th Avenue), Suite 1113, New York City from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays) to obtain your voucher or to receive additional information.
Discount tickets to selected shows are available from Theatre Development Fund. For a yearly fee of $25.00, you will receive offerings by mail for tickets to Broadway and Off-Broadway shows at deeply discounted prices. The list is restricted to one of the following eligible categories: students, teachers, union members, retired persons, performing arts professionals, the clergy, and members of the armed forces. The Best Seats in the House:
For the best seats in the house, even for hard-to-get shows, call the Actors' Fund of America at 212-221-7301, x133, or Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS at 212-840-0770. Tickets are double the box office price, but half is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
