Alliance Public Art Program

Over the last three years, the Times Square Alliance has supported more than 30 temporary art events that include murals, sculptures, video screenings, dance, music and participatory artworks. Our goal is to bring temporary high-quality, cutting-edge art and performance to Times Square’s public spaces, so that it is known globally as a place where ordinary people encounter authentic, ever-changing urban art in multiple forms and media. We have coordinated events with the City of New York, the Port Authority, Tishman Construction, the Durst Organization, the New 42nd Street and several major screen operators.

An array of significant New York City arts organizations serve as art advisors,
including Performa, MoMA and Queens Museum of Art.
