Times Square’s annual concert series celebrating the talented singer-songwriters of the theater community returns for its third season. Tune in and enjoy FREE concerts by Broadway’s multi-talented artists, from their living room to yours.
Eisa Davis (The Secret Life of Bees, Preludes, Passing Strange)
Eisa Davis is an award-winning, multidisciplinary artist working on screen, on and off Broadway, and in hybrid performance spaces. She has originated roles in The Secret Life of Bees, Preludes, This and Passing Strange. Her own works include two albums of music (Something Else and Tinctures), The Essentialisn’t (2020 Creative Capital Award), Bulrusher (Pulitzer finalist) and Angela’s Mixtape.
Tidtaya Sinutoke & Isabella Dawis (with special guests) (Half the Sky, Weston-Ghostlight New Musical Award, 5th Avenue Theatre First Draft)
Tidtaya Sinutoke (music) and Isabella Dawis (book/lyrics) are the recipients of the Weston-Ghostlight New Musical Award for Half the Sky, the story of an Asian American woman climbing Mount Everest. A 5th Avenue Theatre First Draft Commission - developed at Musical Theatre Factory, Theater Mu, Theater Latté Da, Town Stages, O’Neill Center, and Rhinebeck Writers Retreat.
Will Van Dyke (Little Shop of Horrors, Pretty Woman, Kinky Boots)
Will Van Dyke is a singer/songwriter and music supervisor/orchestrator/arranger working in New York theatre. Will has lent his musical talents to the hit Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors as well as on Broadway to Pretty Woman, Kinky Boots, and others. Will and his band are currently working on an EP of new music.
The Broadway Buskers concert series is curated and hosted by Ben Cameron, and co-curated by Musical Theatre Factory.
While the concerts are FREE to stream, we encourage audiences to donate to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund, which provides resources and emergency financial assistance to those within the entertainment community who have been impacted by the pandemic, and the Broadway Advocacy Coalition, in support of their ongoing efforts to help Broadway heal, listen and become an anti-racist and equitable community.
