COUNTDOWN TO NYE
Times Square’s annual concert series celebrating the talented singer-songwriters of the theater community returns for its third season. Tune in and enjoy FREE concerts by Broadway’s multi-talented artists, from their living room to yours.
Juwan Crawley (Becoming EP, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Aladdin)
Juwan Crawley might tell you that he’s just a guy trying to figure it all out. But, given his massive talent and his already impressive list of accomplishments, there’s no question that Juwan Crawley is on the right path. With a deep-rooted love for music, fashion, art, theater, film and above all, people, Juwan wakes up each day, hoping to love people into whoever they’re meant to be.
Cheeyang Ng (Eastbound, MĀYĀ)
Born and raised in Singapore, Cheeyang Ng is an award-winning singer-songwriter who writes at the intersection of queer, Asian and immigrant stories. Creator of podcast East Side Story and vocal group The Lunar Collective. Musicals in development: Eastbound (NAMT 2020) and MĀYĀ (Eric H Weinberger Librettist Award). @cheeyangmusic
Anthony Norman (The Prom, Mare of Easttown, Chicago Med)
Anthony is a singer/songwriter and was possibly the reason for 2020 being the worst year ever! Not confirmed though. Most recently seen on Broadway in The Prom. Thrilled to be back at buskers with the best damn people around!
Rob Rokicki (The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, Monstersongs)
Rob Rokicki is a songwriter, performer and educator. He's the composer/lyricist of the acclaimed Broadway musical, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (Lortel and three Drama Desk nominations). Projects: Monstersongs; Punk Rock Girl (with Joe Iconis); Strange Tails (with Michael Ruby). Two-time Larson Award finalist and alum of the BMI writing workshop.
The Broadway Buskers concert series is curated and hosted by Ben Cameron, and co-curated by Musical Theatre Factory.
While the concerts are FREE to stream, we encourage audiences to donate to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund, which provides resources and emergency financial assistance to those within the entertainment community who have been impacted by the pandemic, and the Broadway Advocacy Coalition, in support of their ongoing efforts to help Broadway heal, listen and become an anti-racist and equitable community.
