Make Music New York presented artists in Times Square from around the world that reflected New York City’s diverse global cultures, featuring music from Brazil to the Balkans and from Mali to Korea, in this FREE concert series.
Emerging songwriter and vocalist performs music influenced by sounds from Cape Verde, France and Brazil.
Internationally acclaimed Malian kora master performs an invigorating show with his trio using kora, n’goni, bass and singing.
Distinguished Korean wind player performs with ancient Korean instruments accompanied by western saxophone and trombone.

One of the most highly recognized Flamenco duos sing, play and dance the music of Spain.
Trio led by renowned cellist Gjilberta Lucaj performs the music of Argentine legend, Astor Piazzolla.

Make Music New York celebrates the talents and passions of local NYC musicians, activates NYC's shared, outdoor social spaces and unites communities in the celebration of live music. Our flagship program is held annually on June 21st, the summer solstice and longest day of the year. Over the past eleven years, it has grown to become the city's largest free, one-day music festival, featuring over 5,000 performers in 1,000+ concerts from 400+ locations across all five boroughs.
