Steve-O (a.k.a. Stephen Glover) was willing to do whatever it took to become famous, even if it meant stapling things to his leg....
COUNTDOWN TO NYE
Brooklyn-based comedian and writer Julia Shiplett comes to Carolines on Broadway as part of the Breakout Artist Comedy Series.
Julia's comedy has evolved into a seamless blend of self-deprecation, biting feminism, and personal anecdotes as a biracial Midwesterner. She has performed at comedy festivals around the country, including Bridgetown and Limestone, and was most recently named one of Team Coco’s 2018 Comics To Watch as part of the New York Comedy Festival. Julia has also been featured on the Moth Radio Hour and made her television debut on season 2 of HBO’s Crashing. In addition to performing, her writing has been published in the New York Times, the New Yorker and McSweeney’s. Please don’t let the freckles fool you — she’s very dangerous.
Carolines on Broadway is proud to present the Breakout Artist Comedy Series, a series which put the spotlight on the very best and brightest emerging stand-up comedians in their very own headlining show. These are the comedians that are currently plying their trade and honing their craft on their way to becoming the stars of tomorrow.
