Before you take your seat in the theatre on Tuesday evenings, enjoy original music performed by Broadway actors and composers at the Crossroads of the World. Positioned within Times Square Market, the local outdoor food market in Times Square, audiences can enjoy food and Happy Hour drinks while taking in FREE concerts by Broadway professionals.
Stereo Dawn (Will Van Dyke & Chris Dwan)
STEREO DAWN is a band comprised of performer Chris Dwan and music director/orchestrator Will Van Dyke. Inspired by singer-songwriters of the ‘90s, boy bands of the 2000s and contemporary music of today, this duo will be joined by some of New York’s best musicians to perform a set of original tunes and a few covers. After years of experience bringing new musicals to life on Broadway, regionally and across the world, there’s new music on the horizon. Their debut album will be recorded and released this summer.
The Bones (Alison Luff & Matthew Magnusson)
Come July 23rd, Alison Luff will be baking pies 8 times a week over at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre as Jenna in Waitress. She is most known for her theatre career, having been in 6 Broadway shows, 2 North American tours, and regional theatres across the country. Some of her stand out roles have been Elphaba in Wicked, Fantine in Les Misérables, Miss Honey in Matilda, and Rachel in last season’s Broadway rom-com, Escape to Margaritaville.r.
Matt Magnusson was recently seen playing Tommy DeVito in Ogunquit Playhouse's production of Jersey Boys. Favorite theatre credits include: Grease (Winter Garden Theatre, TO), Spring Awakening (Los Angeles), American Idiot (Los Angeles), Floyd Collins (La Mirada PAC), Casa Valentina (Pasadena Playhouse). Matt also starred in the film American Girl, currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
Writing partners and husband & wife, their story goes something like this... they met in LA, one week later they fell in love, started writing together, and that was the birth of The Bones. Alison and Matt are most proud and thrilled to announce the making of The Bones’ first album, which is currently in post-production, and is to be released in 2020. Since their divine meeting in 2015, they have played numerous venues in Los Angeles and New York.
