A music form, a coping mechanism, an ethos, and a bridge between disciplines and communities, punk continues reinventing itself. Curated and presented by NEW INC, this mini-festival expands the story of punk — the early adoption of peer to peer music distribution, the intersection of punk and hip-hop in Times Square, and the artists who use punk as a means of expanding their studio practice. For one late afternoon in Times Square, punk comes outdoors for a free series of concerts embodying this cross-disciplinary genre to be shared, refused, and refreshed.
