TSQ LIVE 2024: Jazz | Josh Evans Big Band

New York City’s jazz scene comes to Broadway, creating the feeling of an intimate club amidst the lights and sounds of Times Square.Trumpeter Josh Evans has performed in the bands of and/or recorded with an extraordinary list of artists, including Jackie McLean, Cedar Walton, Rashied Ali, and Gregory Porter. Josh Evans' Big Band features Evans' arrangements of standards and originals. The band consists of an exciting combination of well-established players and up-and-coming musicians, and has featured vocalists and legend, tenor saxophonist Billy Harper.The not-for-profit organization Jazz at Lincoln Center, dedicated to entertaining, enriching, and expanding a global community for jazz through performance, education, and advocacy, will take over Times Square to bring New York City’s jazz scene to Broadway. JALC will infuse the area with good vibrations, featuring some of the most talented emerging artists amidst the hustle and bustle of Times Square.
