Joey with the Mustache is a disco house DJ and music producer based in New York City and Fire Island Pines, New York. A lifetime music nerd, Joey has been obsessed with writing, mixing and performing music. Joey was raised in a choral and brass band music tradition that inspires his bright, joyful sound that emphasizes soaring vocal and instrumental melodies over disco harmonies and driving house rhythms.

Celebrated for his dynamic energy and mastery of live, improvised mashups, Joey seamlessly navigates genres to create unforgettable dance experiences. His performances captivate audiences at events in New York, Fire Island Pines, and beyond. Career highlights include playing at Madison Square Garden, Out Loud Festival in Los Angeles, Electrowerkz in London, [sic] in Mexico City, and producing his queer house music party  “Fruit Snax,” at The Stranger in NYC.

Leland (aka Brett Mclaughlin) is a Golden Globe nominated songwriter, composer, and executive producer. Responsible for contributing to some of pop music’s most influential releases, he’s written hit songs for Ava Max, Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan, BTS, Ariana Grande, Kelsea Ballerini, Charli XCX, Lauv and more.  Highlights include “Kings and Queens” by Ava Max, “Rare” by Selena Gomez, and “I’m So Tired” by Troye Sivan and Lauv.

In television, Leland has served as songwriter, on-camera talent and consulting producer for the Emmy Award winning competition series RuPaul’s Drag Race.  In addition to serving as Executive Music Producer for seasons 1 and 2 of Hulu’s Love, Victor, Leland wrote the theme song and 11 original songs featuring prominent and up-and-coming LGBT artists.  Leland wrote the theme song as well as 3 original songs for seasons 1 and 2 of HBO Max’s The Other Two.

In film, he composed the score and wrote 12 original songs for the hit Netflix Original Movie Sierra Burgess Is A Loser, as well as Executive Producing the soundtrack.  Leland was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Original Song with his longtime collaborator Troye Sivan for their song “Revelation” written for the film Boy Erased, a biographical film about LGBTQ+ conversion therapy.

Recently, Spotify launched the GLOW program promoting LGBTQ+ Musicians Year-Round. GLOW features a hub and playlist highlighting the latest music from queer artists, with an initial selection including Leland.
