COUNTDOWN TO NYE
Say goodbye to your unwanted memories of 2019 at the annual Good Riddance Day event!
Good Riddance Day is inspired by a Latin American tradition in which New Year’s revelers stuffed dolls with objects representing bad memories before setting them on fire. The annual event will take place on December 28, 2019 from 12–1pm on the Broadway plaza between 45th and 46th streets. Join us in tossing, shredding, and smashing any unpleasant, embarrassing, and downright unwanted memories from the past year — be it an old remnant of your ex, the bill you finally finished paying off, old study guides for your most onerous class, or something else that you'll write down on one of our official Good Riddance Day forms to shred.
CONTEST for a once-in-a-lifetime New Year’s Eve experience:
Before you arrive on the 28th, we want to know what you want to shred. Send us what you would get rid of and why — the more creative, the better! — and you could win a once-in-a-lifetime New Year’s Eve experience, including two tickets to an up-close-and-personal visit with the actual New Year’s Eve Ball and two tickets to our exclusive New Year’s Eve party. Register using the form below by December 20th to be entered into the contest, and we hope to see many of you at the live event on December 28th.
Separately, for those in attendance on December 28th, one lucky entry will win two tickets to see Mean Girls on Broadway. Must be present to win.
