In 2025, the Times Square Alliance conducted a wide-ranging stakeholder survey; held stakeholder focus groups with employees, residents, business owners, and more; worked with HR&A Advisors to study the economic impact of Times Square; and went through multiple rounds of internal discussions and review to create a strategic plan focusing on our goals for Times Square and how to implement them.
The Alliance's district covers most of the territory from 40th Street to 53rd Street between 6th and 8th Avenues, as well as Restaurant Row (46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue).
The Times Square Alliance is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization and is governed by a large, voluntary Board of Directors.

Founded in 1992, the Times Square Alliance is a nonprofit business improvement district that improves and promotes Times Square — from core services like keeping Times Square clean and safe, to public programming like contemporary art commissions, free concerts and events, and important community service initiatives — distinguishing the neighborhood as an internationally celebrated cultural district.
